Though it has been quiet....

Though our little blog has been on the QUIET side...Angel just posted a LOSS...Garvin is slowing down in the rapid weight loss...and I am...still...going back and forth...but, still working at LOWERING my situation...

My goal for this month...is to lose enough weight to settle into the 140's by the end of the month...I probably will stay in that range for awhile...but, I need to get there first...(smile)

NO COMPLAINTS...I am thrilled that I have lost the initial EXTRA I put on when we were in transition those first 6 months in Montana...

Angel...YOU GO GIRL!!! You have INSPIRED me to keep moving FORWARD!!! (smile)

I know ABE has really made GREAT progress in reducing his FAT content...but, I don't have the figures in front of me...GO ABE!!!

Hyrum has been working out...using Abe's program...

I just made some changes to this blog...including members of this family...So, in the future...some of you will be able to receive comments and posts through your email...I figure if we support each other in this effort to have a HEALTHY weight program and CELEBRATE when we are successful in our efforts...well...then we all WIN!!! There are such incredible BLESSINGS attached to the "Word of Wisdom"...It would be a benefit to us INDIVIDUALLY and to our family...if we can draw UPON those blessings!!!

  2. My real motivation was to look be down to my goal weight by the time of the Family Reunion in August. I have cut out all SUGAR for the WHOLE summer and not to eat any bread bought from the store so not to have that extra hidden sugar....but the goal is to only eat bread every once in a while...same as pasta...because it is one of my weaknesses. IN DOING THAT...This past week I have only eaten fruits and veggies. Here in Provo they have a Farmers Market every Saturday and a couple weeks ago, we went as a family. One of the stands was Juice Plus. We were talking to the man doing this and he is a Doctor. Even though Jared and I know how important it is to become healthy...not only for ourselves but for our children too....he was saying how IMPORTANT it was for us to REALLY push to eat our veggies EVERYDAY because CANCER is so dominate in my background and DIABETES on Jared's side. They way to help prevent cancer and diabetes is to eat ALL our serving of VEGGIES and fruit EVERYDAY!!! He also mentioned because I am nursing...Lillie is really getting the stuff my body doesn't want or need and that it is EXTRA important for ME to eat healthy so SHE can get GOOD leftovers. I feel GREAT with what I am doing. I hate to exercise but the "SEXY" feeling afterward is what keeps me doing it. Another motivation is I want to be somewhat slimmer but the time Jared gets back from his 2 weeks. My goal was to loose at least 5 pounds by then and so far I have lost 4.1 pounds!!! My NEW goal is 10 pounds before Jared gets back! If I keep it up....I WILL be 145 by AUGUST 6th!!!!

  4. Yeah Smith family(: glad to hear everyone is doing so great(: I am getting there but I wont share too much till I can be back to where I started Jan 1. Some big set backs and so forth but not giving up......ever. Hey Abe I would love to hear what you are doing and Angel you too(: I know fruits and veggies but what else(:

  5. First, Angel, I love your goal...Just eliminating a couple of things...is easier than counting calories...over all...though, eating fruits and vegetables...is a grand way to lose the weight...

    I just switched names on some of the old tickers...but, if you want to change it...then, go to that site...and let me know which ticker you want...

    Will look forward, Holly, when you can make your first REPORT...Do you want me to email you what weight I had for you when we started this last year? Just let me know...
