How to Stay on Track...

I don't know about you...but, STAYING on TRACK with a goal...that takes HARD WORK and WILL POWER...is just plain...H-A-R-D!

Sometimes you just feel darn right MISERABLE!

 Other times...

You simply think you are going to "die"

I don't know about you...

a "little" progress sure helps...when you simply

don't know if the "suffering" is worth it!

But, I keep telling myself...

"You can sacrifice a little for now... cause it will be SO WORTH IT...when you can fit into that cute little top you bought several years ago...

the one you still haven't been able to WEAR...

and slip that little cutie right over YOUR HEAD!"

Plus, all those "other" darling clothes that haven't been worn in YEARS...!!!

It will seem like I have an ENTIRE NEW WARDROBE! 

Ah...all these little images in my mind...

sure helps "motivate" me to keep on TRYING...

But, seriously...right now...I just want to be able to call

Caleb...and FINALLY say...

"I weigh LESS THAN YOU!"

I will have felt I had climbed Mt. Everest...! (smile)

Breaking that Plateau!

I finally broke that one plateau...the one where you JUMP UP and DOWN...and yell...I did it...I DID IT!!!!!

Feels SO GOOD!

Hope everyone is still hanging in there!

It has been amazing...since I chose eating mostly

raw fruits and vegetables...though,

I have, also, changed my PORTIONS when I eat other types of food...

EXAMPLE:

Instead of a "foot long" Sub sandwich...

I, now, only eat a "6 inch" sub...(smile)

I did eat a baked potato last night...added everything

but the sour cream...Just put on lots of extra

"herbs"...It really was AWESOME!

Anyway, just wanted to share the 

GOOD NEWS!

You Raise Me Up...

"You Raise Me Up"...so that I can stand on mountains...! Is there anything too hard for the Lord? 

The Lord is my STRENGTH...Is there any goal that we desire to accomplish...ever accomplished without HIS HELP?

I think of the life of our Brother, Jesus Christ. I think of HIS trials and He overcoming the ENTIRE WORLD...at the cost of GREAT PAIN...We were sent here to OVERCOME, also...and we have all the tools at our finger tips...He turned to FATHER for His strength...the example of what WE ARE NEEDING TO DO...

I asked myself WHY...this one goal of "getting into shape"...was so important...Besides, feeling good again...and getting into my smaller clothes...I have come to know...that to SERVE in the KINGDOM...we need to be STRONG to achieve whatever He may ask of us...At the age of 61, I went to girls camp this year...We went rafting (my first time...) and it was exhilarating! Last week, I went on a hike with my dear friend, Joanna Ebanks, who was visiting me, along with her daughter...I struggled on this hike...and though I finished it...I realized...if I wish not to miss out on what nature and life has to offer me...I NEED to continue this uphill battle with my physical body...If I am to SERVE in the kingdom, I must master and overcome my PHYSICAL...to be able to draw more upon my "spiritual" side of my life...

My brother broke his neck in 2 places when he went over a cliff...landing upside down with the hood of the truck crushing down upon his neck...He has been FIGHTING for his ability to work, again, ever since...When the doctors had him do physical rehab...whatever they asked him to do...he would DOUBLE it...Though, he is in pain most of the time, he continues to fight to be whole and strong again...He has achieved out of determination...and HELP from GOD...not to have become a cripple...He works out a few times a week...Most in his situation, would have given up and have been in a wheel chair...He has truly INSPIRED ME...that against such odds...he is walking and LIVING life...to the best of his ability...

I found this clip "You Raise Me Up"...by Josh Groban...Whoever put it together used scenes from the "Passion of the Christ"...THE WORDS of the SONG...are INSPIRING...We did not come to earth to FAIL nor to EVER GIVE UP...We have much work to do...and we need to be physically strong to do it....

A friend of mine's husband...has a motto: "Failure is NOT an OPTION"! He is right...

Like the little inch worm

Like the little inch worm...it seems PROGRESS comes ever so slowly...but,also like the little children singing about math in this old song...2 + 2=4 ... 4 +4=8 ...I'd like to think...every little step...every little inch... one POUND at a time...will add up to our FINAL GOAL...

I am finally...seeing more results to my effort...Lost over 4 pounds...much slower than most of you...but, inch by inch...pound by pound...I will eventually get there...(smile)

I never experienced a TRUE goal...that didn't have "pain" involved...OVERCOMING...and SELF-MASTERY often brings that "refining" process...that is often "painful" in nature...

However, once accomplished, the feeling of ACCOMPLISHMENT...self-worth...becomes all too apparent...But, I think the true worth of overcoming is that we become CLOSER to what Heavenly Father had in mind of what we came here to earth to fulfill...To become LIKE HIM, our SPIRIT must be in CONTROL over our PHYSICAL and natural man...

Congratulations to Abraham...in dropping 6.6 lbs. in 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!

New Beginnings...Again...

Well...they say...that one does NOT FAIL...unless one QUITS!  It seems...we keep "starting over"...and never quite getting to our goal...However, I have decided...we can still BEAT our odds and can DO IT...because...we haven't "given up"....!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So far, Garvin has taken off "10" pounds, doing his "lemonade" cleanse...

I have taken off nearly "3" pounds...nearly eating "raw foods"...

Abe.... don't have his report, but he is doing the "weight-watcher's" diet...and is loving how he feels and the results...

Angel...has made PROGRESS...

Soon, will be getting Holly's report...

Not certain about Mary Jane at this time...

One day...we will "self-master" this challenge, because, if we are praying and doing...Father said he would make our "weakness" our "strength"...How fantastic will that blessing be...Our CHOICE...

Green Smoothies and Children

I have become a believer in making GREEN SMOOTHIES...I hope to try and have ONE per day...and eat...mostly raw foods the rest of the day...

I have been concerned about CHILDREN...and their diets of today...Here is a video of a mother whose little girl had severe problems as a baby...This mother changed her diet and put her on "green smoothies"...and raw foods...

The "Word of Wisdom" is a perfect TITLE to show us how to make our bodies STRONG AND HEALTHY...

Time to Pick Myself UP...and Get Going...

It has been awhile...but, when the SUN came out...and the feeling of SPRING, though, it is nearly SUMMER...I just had this DRIVE...to START all over and so SOMETHING about all this weight I have put on...The ONE POUND a WEEK goal...sounded really good to me...

I had no idea...how "LONG WINTERS" would AFFECT and play on my emotions, but, I guess it did...I found myself...wanting to EAT throughout the entire day...while holed up inside...so much of the time...

But, the sun is OUT...GARDENING is finally an option in my daily route...and my inner SPIRIT just wanted to FLY!

I, also, found in LONG WINTERS...that one had to eat differently...I wanted more HEARTIER type foods...MEAT to create FUEL inside my body...HEAVIER cooked foods...seemed to help me stay..."warmer"...Perhaps, the COLD...and lack of SUN SHINE...drove me to eat CHOCOLATE or some kind of sweet cause I found it was a great BOOST to my MORAL...(smile)

Also, my calling...and dealing with so many issues all the time...food seemed to "sooth" my soul, also...

EXCUSES...maybe...but, now... I am PUMPED! And perhaps, once I get going...in losing weight...that if I do really well during these next gorgeous months...that when WINTER arrives...I will find ways...to not get caught in some of the traps...I allowed myself to get into this past WINTER...(smile)

Anyone...wanting to start...again?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It has been awhile since I have come to this blog...I lost sight of my goals for the year...though I did manage to remove nearly 20 pounds...

THIS NEW BEGINNING...I have begun this day...a 21 day detox smoothie program...I am so looking forward to my experiences...

I hope many of you...are excited about this NEW YEAR...and plan on continuing AFRESH with new DETERMINATION...to reach your goals of strengthening and improving our precious gift from our Heavenly Father...our "temple" so-to-speak...encased in our PHYSICAL created bodies...

Will so look forward to your SUCCESSES and how you overcame your challenges in this area!
