Holly is leading forward...

In spite of the fact that Holly just had surgery to remove her 
gall bladder...she still managed to lose another 1/2 pound.
She has actually lost 27 1/2 pounds...but, I decided...
it is easier to maintain our records in WHOLE pounds...

Nevertheless...YOU, Holly, are once again CHAMPION!
I know our HOLIDAYS are upon us...There are things that are made that we
normally don't eat on a regular basis...(well.. as true as that might be, obviously there are things we shouldn't be eating on a regular basis, also...) (smile)

Anyway, I recently sent for some "additions" to be added
to my smoothies...and HEALTH program...I am going to
manage a "DANIEL" type diet beginning 
January 1st...(too many CHRISTMAS celebrations going on
right now) (smile)

I have found that "emotional" changes that occur in our lives...
"food" often becomes our "comforting" activity...
I noticed with me...that I want to eat things 
that feed my "sweet" tooth...hence
I find "enjoyment" while going through "stressful" situations...

I find, however, that by "additional" bad eating...I react more
NEGATIVELY...in the long haul...It "loosens my rods"...(smile) Need more
"coolant"...(smile)

Anyway...HOLLY continue to LEAD US FORWARD!!!!!

We Are All On Track Now...

Holiday weekends are now over...
till October 31st...

So, for the next 8 weeks...we can all make 
PROGRESS! (smile)

Holly lost 2.5 pounds this last week!
TRULY to BEST LOSS of the week!
I believe...the ONLY LOSS of the WEEK...(smile)

I am BACK ON TRACK, myself...After TWO major TRIPS in the month of 
August...I can now concentrate in the month of 
SEPTEMBER...taking off the amount I GAINED
from those trips...NOT TOO BAD...considering what I REALLY 
would have liked to have eaten on those trips and 
could have gained...(smile) So I am patting myself
on the back...for it could have been A LOT WORSE! (smile)

OK...FAMILY! We are on a ROLL!
Abe is going back on track...Garvin is working on it...
and Angel expressed  the desire...to UNDO...her
little splurges these past many days...

Try...Try...and TRY Again...



No one can ever say...that I am a quitter...ONCE, again, I started a weight loss program for myself...I started on July 10th...and within ONE MONTH...I met my FIRST GOAL...to lose my FIRST set of "10 lb." blocks...I am SO VERY EXCITED!

I do believe...that SUMMER it is so MUCH EASIER...I am OUTSIDE working in the GARDEN...The SUN constantly LIFTS my SPIRIT! and there are LOTS of FRESH FRUITS and VEGETABLES to eat.  I find in the WINTER, when I eat too many fruits, my BODY is not very WARM...In order to keep one's body warmer...one has to eat more grains and meat, to some degree...Much harder to take the weight OFF! Or the lack of SUN...seems to drive me to eat...for something to do...since I am INSIDE THE HOUSE MOST OF THE DAY....Will need to find ways to keep my MIND on something else...and away from the kitchen...(smile)

FEELING GOOD!

I am THRILLED for, YOU, ABRAHAM...for losing "12" lbs. I understand...ANNIE is working toward her pre-marriage or pre-baby weight! And, Angel...is almost to her pre-marriage weight...as well!

MUST BE THE SUMMER WEATHER!!!!!!!!!! (smile)

A BRAND NEW YEAR!

I LOVE NEW BEGINNINGS...I love a NEW WEEK...a NEW DAY...a NEW MONTH...but, I really love beginning NEW YEARS! Somehow, I feel...no matter how I did the past year...the NEW YEAR gives me HOPE...I can do MUCH MUCH better...for one day...I am going to do it RIGHT!

These first TWO weeks...(this second week is nearly done)
I needed to report on myself...for MY GOOD...
I think we all need to see our PROGRESS, even if we are the only
ones who recognize it...or KNOW...what is being accomplished...
I PRAY...and I do mean that LITERALLY...for success...
I believe, if I humbly, kneel before Father...
or in the midst of working out...
or blessing of my food...
He will HEAR ME...and give me the STRENGTH I need to SUCCEED!
It's when I STOP asking for His help...is when I begin to SLIDE!
I will be forever grateful for my daughter-in-law, Holly, for
being inspired with the idea of ONE POUND a week!
52 pounds in a YEAR!
What a concept...something so durable..
Here is how my program for myself...is going to work...
and has for the past 2 weeks...
  1. Begin with prayer...
  2. Work out to my "4" mile FAST walking DVD...I have a couple of them, so I will interchange them...maybe, every week...I will just do one...change the next week with the other...I have only done it for "3" days...and like, today...I did NOT want to do it...but, I KNEW...I had to...I was even willing to do one or two miles of the DVD...but, I knew...I would talk myself...into doing...just "one" more as the workout...continued...Managed to get in all "4" miles...I know...there will be some days...out of my control to get all FOUR in...but, I hope to do at least one to two 6 days a week...SUNDAYS OFF!
  3. I FAST every Sunday, now...January 1st...23 hours worth; this past Sunday, was for 25 hours...I was so TOUCHED...by the verses this year...in Alma 17:2-3...that I have made it my YEAR'S motto...THEME...I do believe, besides the PURPOSE of FASTING...it will BLESS my PHYSICAL body...as well...
  4. Control my eating and WHAT I EAT...The "Word of Wisdom" has sunk DEEP into my heart...I KNOW what I am suppose to do...DO IT...takes SELF MASTERY...one of life's greatest challenges...I hope...during this year...I will have learned how to do it so much better..."self mastery"...
  5. FAITH...to KNOW...I CAN DO IT! Attitude...will make all the difference!
