One thing that has helped me in the past that I got back to yesterday is meditation. There is an LDS lady that does a podcast of meditation exercises-- my kind of "work" you just lay quietly and listen. Let me know if any of your are interested. If you don't do podcasts I could burn you a CD. I have always done better keeping my eating in control when I do the meditation. I can only guess that it not only relaxed me while doing it but overall for the rest of the day!
I'm excited about losing 1 pound a week this week! Shall we pick a day of the week to report our success!
Sandee
I have never heard of "podcasts"...I would be interested...Sounds interesting...
ReplyDeleteHello ladies(: Sandee I would love a cd if possible. I too have not heard of podcast.
ReplyDeleteI am excited for this Blog. Tomorrow is my first official weigh in as I started January 1st. Thursdays will be my day, at least for now. I am following the Slim Fast plan to get me started. I am looking forward to any ideas and help along the way. I too tried weight watchers after having the twins. It helped every other time after having babies, but not this time(: This is the year. My motto for my year is "It's a new year, it's a new beginning" My year of weightloss, healing and being a better me.
May we all have a wonderful day and be happy and grateful for all that we have.(:
Technically, my FIRST week is, also, tomorrow...ONE week from January 1st...but, even if Holly and I weigh in on a THURSDAY, we could as a group...use SUNDAY...the first day of each week...(starting this SUNDAY)and let each other know our PROGRESS...I LOVE the beginning of NEW YEARS...or a new MONTH...a NEW WEEK...to BEGIN ANYTHING...so, FIRST of EVERY WEEK...on a SUNDAY...would be a great way to START each NEW WEEK...What do you all think...USE SUNDAY as our day to REPORT our PROGRESS????
ReplyDeleteSunday works for me. This Sunday will be my two week mark (I started early because of my out of control Christmas feasting)
ReplyDeleteMy mom says: to remember that you need alot of sleep when you are trying to lose weight. IT has been scientiffically proven that lack of sleep leads to weight gain. Also when you are asleep you cant eat. That might be the reason Holly had more trouble after the twins:)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Hayley...Now, that I think of it...I lost pounds YEARS AGO...in my EARLY TWENTIES...weighing in at 110 pounds...during a period in my life...that I actually slept LONGER HOURS...Haven't slept like that SINCE that time...Garvin read somewhere, also, that MORE SLEEP DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE...
