Green Smoothies and Children

I have become a believer in making GREEN SMOOTHIES...I hope to try and have ONE per day...and eat...mostly raw foods the rest of the day...

I have been concerned about CHILDREN...and their diets of today...Here is a video of a mother whose little girl had severe problems as a baby...This mother changed her diet and put her on "green smoothies"...and raw foods...

The "Word of Wisdom" is a perfect TITLE to show us how to make our bodies STRONG AND HEALTHY...

Time to Pick Myself UP...and Get Going...

It has been awhile...but, when the SUN came out...and the feeling of SPRING, though, it is nearly SUMMER...I just had this DRIVE...to START all over and so SOMETHING about all this weight I have put on...The ONE POUND a WEEK goal...sounded really good to me...

I had no idea...how "LONG WINTERS" would AFFECT and play on my emotions, but, I guess it did...I found myself...wanting to EAT throughout the entire day...while holed up inside...so much of the time...

But, the sun is OUT...GARDENING is finally an option in my daily route...and my inner SPIRIT just wanted to FLY!

I, also, found in LONG WINTERS...that one had to eat differently...I wanted more HEARTIER type foods...MEAT to create FUEL inside my body...HEAVIER cooked foods...seemed to help me stay..."warmer"...Perhaps, the COLD...and lack of SUN SHINE...drove me to eat CHOCOLATE or some kind of sweet cause I found it was a great BOOST to my MORAL...(smile)

Also, my calling...and dealing with so many issues all the time...food seemed to "sooth" my soul, also...

EXCUSES...maybe...but, now... I am PUMPED! And perhaps, once I get going...in losing weight...that if I do really well during these next gorgeous months...that when WINTER arrives...I will find ways...to not get caught in some of the traps...I allowed myself to get into this past WINTER...(smile)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It has been awhile since I have come to this blog...I lost sight of my goals for the year...though I did manage to remove nearly 20 pounds...

THIS NEW BEGINNING...I have begun this day...a 21 day detox smoothie program...I am so looking forward to my experiences...

I hope many of you...are excited about this NEW YEAR...and plan on continuing AFRESH with new DETERMINATION...to reach your goals of strengthening and improving our precious gift from our Heavenly Father...our "temple" so-to-speak...encased in our PHYSICAL created bodies...

Will so look forward to your SUCCESSES and how you overcame your challenges in this area!

Never Give Up....NEVER... Give Up...

I am thrilled over Mary Jane's success!  I allowed myself to get SET BACK...but, decided...I didn't want to give up.....so I began...once...again!

I find, now, my CONSCIENCE...talks to me a lot more...when I "let go"...After studying the "Word of Wisdom" so much...this past year...I find myself...on another level...that...it is nearly a "sin" for me...to do differently. Besides when I put...good things into my body... I feel so much better physically...but even better...my SPIRIT...is more at PEACE! (smile)

I finally posted your LOSS, today....So sorry it took me so long! I am THRILLED over your SUCCESS!!!!! Life has been crazy for me...I have a Relief Society BLOG that I am trying to keep up for my sisters...Since I have been called to be R.S. President...I rarely have much time to myself...I just wanted you to know...I am here...and still CHEERING FOR YOU!  

I have been up and down....but, doing a bit better...and will work harder...not to eat the "fudge" Hyrum keeps making!!!!! (smile)

Please, keep me informed!!!!!  Now, that Abe is getting married in the Rexburg Temple on November 19th...I need to behave myself...for the wedding! (smile)

MISS YOU friend!  Would love to see you while we are in Rexburg...Annie, my future daughter-in-law will be receiving her endowments, I think the day before the sealing...If you can make it...you ought to come and be in the session with us....The last time we were in the temple together...was at Garvin's and my sealing on NOVEMBER 17th...32 YEARS ago...almost to the DAY!!!!! Would be a fun anniversary for us to all be together, again...Who would have ever thought...it would be due to a "wedding" of one of my children! (smile)

SO EXCITED for BOTH OF YOU!!!!! We are all starting to be on a ROLL...What we need to do...is have BEFORE and AFTER pictures...when we are finally done...

There was a time...I was going to take..a picture after the loss of every 10 pounds...(smile)

Just wanted to tell you both...I am VERY HAPPY for the progress you both are making...I KNOW how hard it is to lose weight...so I can't help but REJOICE in your PROGRESS! (smile)
