A BRAND NEW YEAR!

I LOVE NEW BEGINNINGS...I love a NEW WEEK...a NEW DAY...a NEW MONTH...but, I really love beginning NEW YEARS! Somehow, I feel...no matter how I did the past year...the NEW YEAR gives me HOPE...I can do MUCH MUCH better...for one day...I am going to do it RIGHT!

These first TWO weeks...(this second week is nearly done)
I needed to report on myself...for MY GOOD...
I think we all need to see our PROGRESS, even if we are the only
ones who recognize it...or KNOW...what is being accomplished...
I PRAY...and I do mean that LITERALLY...for success...
I believe, if I humbly, kneel before Father...
or in the midst of working out...
or blessing of my food...
He will HEAR ME...and give me the STRENGTH I need to SUCCEED!
It's when I STOP asking for His help...is when I begin to SLIDE!
I will be forever grateful for my daughter-in-law, Holly, for
being inspired with the idea of ONE POUND a week!
52 pounds in a YEAR!
What a concept...something so durable..
Here is how my program for myself...is going to work...
and has for the past 2 weeks...
  1. Begin with prayer...
  2. Work out to my "4" mile FAST walking DVD...I have a couple of them, so I will interchange them...maybe, every week...I will just do one...change the next week with the other...I have only done it for "3" days...and like, today...I did NOT want to do it...but, I KNEW...I had to...I was even willing to do one or two miles of the DVD...but, I knew...I would talk myself...into doing...just "one" more as the workout...continued...Managed to get in all "4" miles...I know...there will be some days...out of my control to get all FOUR in...but, I hope to do at least one to two 6 days a week...SUNDAYS OFF!
  3. I FAST every Sunday, now...January 1st...23 hours worth; this past Sunday, was for 25 hours...I was so TOUCHED...by the verses this year...in Alma 17:2-3...that I have made it my YEAR'S motto...THEME...I do believe, besides the PURPOSE of FASTING...it will BLESS my PHYSICAL body...as well...
  4. Control my eating and WHAT I EAT...The "Word of Wisdom" has sunk DEEP into my heart...I KNOW what I am suppose to do...DO IT...takes SELF MASTERY...one of life's greatest challenges...I hope...during this year...I will have learned how to do it so much better..."self mastery"...
  5. FAITH...to KNOW...I CAN DO IT! Attitude...will make all the difference!
