1 pound

Why is it when you are this close to the finish line the tortise kicks in? My weight loss has been like the hare, at times I could barely believe it. Then all of the sudden someone threw a stop sign in the middle of it. Although I should not be frustrated since I have lost all this weight since November it is hard to not be frustrated when the brakes get yanked up. I had my pre-op this past Wednesday before they did the LEEP on me yesterday. Actually funny story Jared Day was present for the procedure and I was very glad he was there. I was supposed to have pain and discomfort but he acted as a guardian angel in a way. I literally have not touched one of the Darvocet's they gave me, they prescribed 20 and I still have 20. So Angel please tell Jared he has to be present for any and all procedures I have, he is like a good luck charm. At first I did not even know who he was because they sedated me right before they wheeled me in, so I had sedation goggles on. I think he was also wearing his mask and head scarf. Once I was waking up though after and I saw him walking towards me in the recovery room I finally realized who that was smiling at me under that face mask. Anywho the doctor said in May we can start trying again and by then I will have healed enough and had enough time to lose the last 25 pounds.

  1. Oh...Renee...Thanks for sharing your story about Jared...I haven't talked with him for a few days...so I hadn't heard about this incident. Wouldn't it be grand if he could be there each time...Like having FAMILY around...(smile) I find...losing weight is NO FUN...but, if we can all endure the weeks it will take to accomplish our goals, then...it will be WORTH the effort...MY HEALTH will be my first reward...hmmm...maybe the JOY of actually SUCCEEDING...might be first (smile) and SECOND...I can run around with my grandchildren easier...and LASTLY...I can get back into some CLOTHES I would LOVE to be able to wear, again...plus one new TOP...I SO DESIRE to wear...(it is a darling PINK top)I will move your TICKER...at least it is moving FORWARD!!!! NOT BACKWARDS!!!! (smile)
